[SPOILERS] Monolith on Gilly?

While modding, I found a Large green monolith on Gilly. It's undocumented in the wiki and was completely unexpected

Can anyone explain the history of this? I assume it is probably a relic of @NovaSilisko's original Solar System.

Apparently in 1.2 they added in the green-tinted monoliths that spawn in a random location, so there's no point in telling me the coordinates where you found it. I've never found one, but I believe there is supposed to be one on each body, but I'm not sure about that. So don't quote me on that.

Congratulations, you've made Kerbal History! I'd say mark those coordinates, start a new save, and land on that site from memory (or Kerbnet.)

I've think that (secretly) SQUAD put an monolith on Gilly. I'll check it out on an spy sattelite!

This is amazing. The sattelite found any "?" signs so that is the result that I'll need an rover for explore there! But that is very lazy...

I found a green one on Kerbin.

 

I originally thought those were added by mods, but now it may be stock after all...
