 i ve done it. just ignore CKAN update about constellation or mks bleeding edge after the manual install

MKS I got the version from here,  the one in your github from 7 months ago. https://github.com/BobPalmer/MKS/tree/master/FOR_RELEASE\

it is stuck on Umbraspaceindustries/MKS/LightGloble/MKS_lightglobe

 

 

That's ancient and out of date.

CKAN also will generally not be willing to replace/update manually installed mods, so as long as you keep an eye out for duplicate dependencies(like module manager), combining CKAN and manual installs  are usually not more problematic than other CKAN installs.

I just started playing with USI for the first time since before Wolf. Question about the old FTT containers  (had no luck using google). Are they deprecated? none of the containers actually have any storage and are not configurable (square ones or round ones, anything that holds materials from USI). Even if i take one that says Ore on it, after launch there is no Ore storage. Is this by design, or is there some bug in my game? it is a new install (but using many mods) and before i go trying to figure out if something is wrong, i would like to know if they are supposed to still work or not (the cfg files seem like they should still work... so not sure).

Like I said in the MM thread: I don't think those containers are from FTT, think they're MKS. So do you have that installed?

Also, what version of USI mods and KSP do you have?

edit: looking at your sreenshot it seems like you have MKS installed :D

edit2: so to be clear, for me all containers work fine.

You are missing Firespitter - that's required for the kontainers

Thanks. What is weird is i installed the bleeding edge yesterday after the same problem was in Constellation 2021.03.12.01 PRE-RELEASE... don't know how i missed copying that folder 2x in a row... :)  
They are working now!

(Not sure if this belongs in the Konstruction or MKS thread, so apologies for cross-posting.)

Is there a means to default the storage output for a KF-250 Konstructor to a different part?

I'm using the Unstable Release 112.0.1-bleeding-edge.2 Constellation release. I'd like to build WOLF Depots in situ but they require 18kL volume. A 5m Storage Kontainer meets the need, but the KF-250 Konstructor does not see the additional storage and only provides 1.2kL of volume.

Reference the demo ship below.  Am I using this correctly?

I guess I misunderstood the plan to replace Global Construction with MKS capabilities. I see the orbital Konstruction parts and how they allow building of orbital structures, but are there plans to provide a similar ground component, that allows building large ground structures and deploying them in a desired location? If not, how do you foresee deploying the Atlas parts in game (without using cheats)?

If all this is "coming soon(t)" and still in works, I understand. But if it's in the Constellation version, I'm apparently overlooking the mechanic.

Yep the plan is to provide a ground component, but in the short term there's that workaround.

Hello all, I just installed MKS_1120.0.1-bleeding-edge.3 from the following link: Releases · UmbraSpaceIndustries/MKS · GitHub. When I opened KSP everything seemed to load up fine in the launch screen, but when I go to the VAB I don't see any of the Kolonization modules for either or orbital outposts (like the ones in this video):  

What I do see are some new helicopter and plane parts, as well as the Kolonization dashboard and WOLF dashboard buttons. Does anyone know what's going on here? Did I install the wrong zip package? I'm playing a career mode save and have most but not all of the tech tree unlocked, maybe all of the modules are in late tech tree items? I did look at all of the tech tree items and didn't see anything beyond a couple of plane parts, but maybe they're hidden? While the helicopter parts were cool, I was super excited to start making off world colonies :(. I'd really appreciate any tips or help you guys may have, thanks!
