Thx for your honest opinion! But i can't hold back on changing stuff because it would mess up career. That's why I keep kss at an 0. version although it has the potential of 1. But you're right about those warnings and asking what others want :) so in the future I'll try to do this. About the new surface of kerbin, i thought changing kerbin would be a nice thing because i noticed people playing kss are more focused on everything but kerbin. They want to get as fast as possible to blalo for example. And because i always didn't like the stock kerbin, i changed it and i have great ideas to make it more interesting.

BUT I'll going to take the new Kerbin out and use the texture for something else :)

@smotheredrun

If i got paid 1$ for each download of KSS. I would have a lot of money!

Glad to hear original Kerbin will stay :)

May I make a suggestion:

Separate bug fixes or patches from KSS content updates. If you are releasing an update that includes changes to existing celestial objects (potentially career breaking) AND bug fixes or optimization, then make them separate folders in the download. That way those of us playing in career mode can enjoy the bug fixes but we can decide if the new content update is something we want to install. :wink::wink:

Kinda giving ideas from the sidelines, since I haven't been able to give this a try quite yet myself, but something came to mind after I read this.  :)

Previously you mentioned adding in compatibility for OPM, though suggested it to be in the form of an aging star which had consumed all its inner planets.  Maybe, instead, use this revised Kerbin as a planet in that system, give it some inner planets to balance out the OPM ones?

And a side question: With a 'stock' Kerbin in KSS, do you think Kerbin-Side would play nicely with KSS?  If unsure, I could download a copy of KSS 0.6, give it a try, and report back.

Sure I've not tested it yet.

Out of curiosity, is it possible to land on Hillo, or would I just go poof?

You can land pretty much anywhere in KSS. The question, rather, is... should you? *insert evil laughter!* This ain't your typical planet pack mod! We've made a deliberate attempt at emulating real life counterpart conditions. Exploring the different bodies in KSS wont be like exploring in other planet packs (especially not stock!) (see previous discussion on the difficulty of landing on Eve). The challenges you'll encounter here are real, but so will be the rewards. Imo, this makes the KSP experience much much more interesting.

It'll be even harder when Kerbalism compatibility is implemented! (be careful in the Jool System, radiation is not the best thing for Kerbals)

I realized after my last post that there was really nothing stopping me from testing my own question, so I went on a download spree.

Results: With KSS 0.6, at least, Kerbin-Side is compatible!  I've linked to a few images, to whose who would like to see.  My installation was not perfect, as I did not have EVE functionality working, but I was mostly focused on the base 'will it work'.  (Commenting for those who ask why Kerbin doesn't have any clouds.  :) )

I haven't heard anything yet about KSS + Stock Visual Terrain... :wink: Even if Kerbin goes "unchanged" I hope it still looks like Galileo made Kerbin in the first place.

Pardon me. I'm doing as they say in my country... "Playing the devil"

I've been using TAC Life Support for years. I have not considered using Kerbalism. Which mod is better? Can you use both or is it better to use just one?

Kerbalism is more than just an LS. It's an overhaul and changes fundamentals of gameplay. And it includes means of replenishing consumeable resources off-world, including its own greenhouse. Kerbalism adds little things to deal with like space weather, cramped cabins, part failures and CO2 poisoning. The only real interoperability Kerbalism has with TAC imo is they share most resources but they are known to conflict so it's better to use just one.

That said... Kerbalism is quite the mod and I'd personally hold to it and use it myself if I wasn't entrenched with USI. :) But it has a serious problem with solar panels and timewarp right now so be careful with manned missions if/when you decide to change from TAC.

How come the lightning was removed?

Because I'm changing how the lightning works :)

@Voodoo8648 & @JadeOfMaar

One of the problems right now with Kerbalism and KSS is that all the radiation belts point to the All and I'm not able to change this until the dev from Kerbalism adds compatibility with star system mods. (I've asked it but I guess we'll have to wait for some time)

That's what I noticed. Kerbalism isn't really supported for large systems. Specifically with moons. And since the Stars are the "planets" and the planets of those stars are the "moons", it makes Kerbalism really broken.

Anybody know what's causing this blue line in the day / dark side transition?

EDIT: I ensured that the newest visuals  versions were installed but the blue line is still there

Did you do the clouds fix?

Also, congrats on getting onto the front page!

That's scatterers EVE integration, which without some editing, can look like garbage, like that.
