Except, well, this wasn't really lithobraking. More like falling-into-Mesmo-and-then-skydiving-braking. Except take out the braking part and replace it with crash.

Still fun to watch :P

I am getting contracts that want me to come abnormally close to the Kerbol. Contracts want me to come within just 18km of the sun!

Is this correct and accurate? Is it even possible?

I'm getting several Kerbol missions, yet I'm still very early in my new career

That appears to me to be a bug with the contract generation. It looks like somehow Kerbol got changed to a gas giant, instead of a star.

This kind of thing happens often in GPP. Expect it to happen in any planet/star mod that changes Kerbin and/or the Sun, and expect it to happen to everyone else playing in KSS.

You hit the nail right on the head.

Also with IE, you can stack on graphine radiators and do the mission easily.

EDIT: I know this because the antimatter stuff makes more heat than the sun does ASL.

DOUBLE EDIT: My friend, you misread this. It is FOR ABOVE the listed heights. Reread that.

But the fact remains that it wants it in flight, which means in an atmosphere... RIP spacecraft, it burned up in a star... :P

Again, Graphine Radiators are your friend. I once did a sundive in stock solar system and got out with 2178 science.

@Deplaisant

I need more info:

Did the game load?

Are there cfg's written inside KSS/Cache?

How much RAM do you have?

Which systems did you choose or delete? ...

If KSP crashed while loading with KSS for the first time, just try another time ...

Oh it works, but the loads are veryyyy long and it's almost unplayable

Depends from how much RAM you got and if its a full kss version or not.

.7 will feature stars with chromospheres, photospheres and coronas ... I'd like to see how those radiators will handle 2.5 million Kelvin. :P

Mmmm atmospheres and realism...

Edit: highest level graphine radiators will be able to barely pull through if I have enough of them, as the antimatter stuff gets to about 1 million kelvin.
