I am also having crashes when opening my CKAN settings, as described https://github.com/KSP-CKAN/CKAN/issues/2300 . I'm not entirely sure how to perform the workaround though. If someone could explain how to do that for me I would appreciate it.

Start -> cmd, "cd" to the folder where your ckan.exe is, then run the command.

Constantly getting these errors now, I've try clearing out registries and fresh downloads.

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Thanks, we know about this. See https://github.com/KSP-CKAN/CKAN/issues/2300 for background and a workaround.

Recently started getting an error:

Popup:

"Failed to connect to repository.  Exception: Value cannot be null.

Parameter name: collection"

Main CKAN window:

"Connection to https://github.com/KSP-CKAN/CKAN-meta/archive/master.tar.gz could not be established"

This occurs on both pre-existing installations (1.3.1, and 1.2.2) as well as a fresh install of 1.3.1.  If I close the popup I can launch KSP from CKAN.  I just can't install any new mods.

Update CKAN.  Github changed their servers

Using 1.24. When I select and then apply a mod, it downloads it and then installs it, but once the install is complete, it comes back to the Manage Mods screen but only shows about 1/4 of the mods. Doesn't matter if I filter it by compatible, new, installed it  still only shows about 50 mods. I tried refreshing that doesn't work either. The only thing that works is to shut down Ckan and restart it.

Anyone else having this issue?

Can you describe this functionality, please?

Does it require a netkan file?

How does it work,exactly?

It uses the metadata already in your registry, which contains the SHA1 and SHA256 of (nearly) every known download file. Calculate the SHA1 of an unknown ZIP, and now you know which modules it contains.

Ok, so it can't import an unknown file.  Got it, thanks

This had been working for a couple of days, now there's a problem:
