Automated Aerial Refueling System

Made by: Kerbal Battle Field & Icecovery Studio

Automated Aerial Refueling System (AARS) provides a set of military airforce equipment used for aerial refueling.

This mod has plugins that can allow users to automatically connect two aircraft in the atmosphere for refueling and you only need to click one button!!! (And it supports FAR)It also has parts so users can build aerial refueling aircraft themselves.

The mod is under development of two modding teams named Kerbal Battle Field and Icecovery Studio, members of which are all from China.

The current version has been complete, so it isn't in WIP mode now.

*The aircraft itself is not the content of this mod, they are our other mod and coming soon.*

The aircraft in the video cannot be released publicly because of copyright issues. A member of our team already re-created and released Su-27, here is the link:

Other aircraft may be re-created and released in the future, but not necessarily.

How to use?

  • Before use, you need to ensure your aircraft can fly properly, it is best to let it be BDA s AI drive properly.And They have a probe and a drogue are respectively installed(Or boom and fuel port).
  • First, Let the two aircraft approach and maintain a relatively low relative velocity(You can use BDA s Wing Command).
  • Second, expand drogue or drop the boom.If you are using fuel port ,open its cover.
  • Then, Set the aerial refueling aircraft as the target.
  • Next, click the Active button on probe or fuel port.If you are using BDA’s Wing Command, Now shut down AI pilots.
  • Next, your aircraft will automatically approach the drogue or boom(You may need to manually adjust the attitude of the aircraft to make it easier to docking).
  • When the docking, it will automatically start the transmission of Liquid Fuel.When your aircraft's fuel tank is full, it will automatically unlock.
  • NOTE: If you move too fast after docking, the probe or boom will unlock, but it will still try to docking.*

Recommends : 

BDArmory, maybe you need it to make your plane in formation or go near the aerial refueling aircraft.

 

DOWNLOAD: SpaceDock (Also in CKAN, but ckan will download Aircraft Carrier Accessories also, we're trying to fix it.)

INSTALLATION: Delete the existing AARS and KFC folder in your own GameData, then unzip GameData into the game directory.

What mod for the F-22 and the Fueler? (KC-135 right?)  *edit nevermind, i see they are in a new mod coming out. Is there a certain date set?

Oh man! I've been waiting for a mod like this one. I went to extremes to do this using several mods quite successfully. But really wanted some better models. Thank you!

Ahh.They are in the Kerbal Battle Field.

It has so many bugs now.

Serious bug discovered: when loading planes with the boom, it will spawn high above the runway as if the boom is deployed. Needless to say this bug will destroy most fuel laden planes when they hit the ground.

Thank you.We made many things in the KBF ,such as some tanks,some planes,so many Chinese weapons.

Oh!By the way,we have  M2HB ,AIM120D and AIM9X!

great mod! looks and works great but one thing about the 3D models of those aircraft...

Are they actual yours or did you get them from here? http://tf3dm.com/

Not to say that i care much, just a heads up to certain T&C's you may have to apply with for some of these models.

If they aren't yours, i don't mind much so long as you get them in game and have them work, the work that you must of put in to get them converted to work with KSP and the new config files is great effort.

if they are yours....0_0 goodness me you are good with those 3Dmodels!

just remember to check for any small print.

But still, great work on the mod, Keep it up!

Thank you for your advice.I will take it.

If we really need a model form tf3dm or p3dm. we will put it into ksp with checking and modifying.For example, a plane model i may be  just take its wings.
