OK, so your challenge is to use this rocket, modify it to be mun capable, and land.

Here are the rules:

1. You may only do this by adding another stage to the rocket.

2.No persistence, part, or other file editing.

3.MUST BE STOCK Exceptional mod is the Crew Tank

4. Pictures, or it didn\'t happen: Have pictures of the rocket in the VAB, on the pad, Orbit, TMI, Landing, and (optional) Return

5. You don\'t have to return from it.

6. Post a .craft of the rocket used.

Leave no man behind: Maroon a crew, then rescue them, Crew Tank is allowed.

Science!: Land on the far side of the Mun for scientific reasons.

Questions...

1) as the initial staging is a bit sucky, can we move existing stuff around so it stages better?

2) I notice a lot of 'unattached' struts. is this intention or are we allowed to actually make them connect TO stuff?

The crew, Danlock and his friends, don\'t like the first model of Coribus-Mun. After three consecutive failures of motor systems, with three big explosions, we decided to modify that model. Only whitout one tank at the radial motors at the firs stage.

Coribus-Mun II

The initial vibration broke some systems. Nothing vital.

Well, the voyage continues.

Landed at 0.020º N -27.000º E, in the middle of nowhere on the Mun.

Well, when the crew and was about to start the engines, Wait! there isn\'t enough fuel to comeback.

I decided, before 'fixing' struts etc, and possible changing staging (let along ADDING another stage!), to try fly the stock craft.

After blowing up a few times I realised throttling was the key.

My first 'serious' attempt was with the original crew, but alas they blew up finding out how little throttle was needed!

my second crew fared a lot better though:

P.S. craft was 100% stock, completely unmodified from the original download, even though I was aching to put a MechJeb on it, purely for the orbital & surface info, I didn\'t and used just the supplied stock ASAS.

How did you transfer fuel? Is it a mod? Or just editing the persistence folder?

the fun part was trying to keep the 1st stage below the 4G limit that trashes the decouplers..
