[1.3] ASET/RPM for Falcon cockpit (from Airplane Plus pack) [Feb 10 2017]

Recommended Posts

ASET/RPM for Falcon cockpit, -An add-on for Airplane Plus mod

I really enjoyed blackheart612's Falcon Cockpit (F16/mk2 non-commercial), so I decided to pimp it up a bit with a fully (95% anyhow) working IVA. The first attempts were mostly done by brute-hacking cfgs, but that soon proved to be extremely time consuming. So I downloaded Unity and started dillydallying a bit there till I got reasonably satisfied. So there we have it, my first add-on.
This is not an attempt to re-create the real F16 layout(s) by no means, but to make an resemblance that works in KSP.

-All credits go to the talented @blackheart612 for his IVA and of course @alexustas and @MOARdV for their props and RPM

Feedback is always welcome. For core issues with dials etc please visit that mod's forum thread. My skills are mostly limited to basic prop placement.

History:
v0.8 - Release. (0.8 instead of 1.0 because reasons)

Installation: Extract the contents of the zip file to your KSP/Gamedata folder

@SkyKaptn

I highly recommend you to fill  "storedStrings = " in the "RasterPropMonitorComputer" module, and edit the "COLORDEFINITION" blocks  as well to make more 'military' green shade of instruments

@SkyKaptn Thank you for this IVA. It looks wonderful.

I have one question about it: everything in the cockpit works, but I don't have the reflex sight. Do I miss anything, or is it from some separate mod?

I've checked just now, I do have the newest versions of all listed dependencies.

I guess you are thinking of the HUD? If so, there are two buttons just below it. One to raise it up, and another to turn it on.

And then you realize that the MFDs actually function, show TGPs, weapon data, countermeasure data, a billion other types of stuff only DCS players will know about.

And that is when your brain turns into Ajapsandali:

Would it be possible to see info about how many missiles/ammo you have on your plane in the hud and see the radar and tracking pod imagery in the MFDs ?

I'm guessing this works fine on 1.3, right?

Thanks for testing. I have been away from KSP for a little while.

Nope, ASET crashes for me unless ther is a secret 1.3 version of ASET props and avionics

I did some testing a few hours ago, and I experienced no crashes or other mishaps. I am running ASET props ver 1.4 and ASET avionics ver 2.0 (and the very recent RPM release that was taken out of beta a day ago)

it doesnt works well in ksp 1.3.1 (so many part disappear in the game) can you fix it?

I guess this must be That the ASET and/or RPM is not yet compatible with 1.3.1 Those mods are not maintained by me.

My Falcon cockpit is a rather simple mod that takes advantage of those two mods and places parts from them in coordinates X,Y,Z (plus tilted angles and scaling)

I recommend looking in the ASET and RPM (rasterpropmonitor) forum threads for updates.
