Haven't played KSP for quite a while now. What's changed with modding?

It's been a while since I've wanted to get back into KSP, especially modded KSP.

Has anything changed? Is Realism Overhaul on 1.2 yet? Are there any mods you'd recommend for a once-veteran, now returnee?

Well it would be useful to say which version you last played on. 

But R.O. is NOT in 1.2 yet, so umm...theres that!

If you have just updated to 1.2.2 and still want to play RO, you can try the pre-release. There are some issues, but a lot of mods such as RSS work well.

Otherwise, if you want everything as you were accustomed to in the past, I suggest reinstalling KSP 1.1.3 and using the old RO.

I mean, I gotta plug my stuff. Remade Surface Experiment Pack that more accurately depicts ALSEP, and Bluedog Design Bureau finally has a fleshed out Saturn V / Apollo / LEM.

And for those curious, it looks like the last version OP used was 1.1.3 since his last post was around March 2016.
