Having a problem with mods.

Recommended Posts

When this first started I was playing my modded game normally.  Then the game crashed,  I didn't really care all that much I have lots of mods installed.  So I restarted my game, then Kerbal was blue the kerbals where black.  The game ran fine before this crash.  I had no idea what happened.  So I did what most other people would do (troubleshoot).  Reinstalled my game it worked just fine.  Then I installed a small mod,  it broke.  Tried again but with a different mod and game, did the same thing.  I can't quite figure out what's going on so I thought I might get some help from some other people that know a lot more about this stuff than I do.(I did use CKAN)  Thanks in advance!

So I dug deep in my files for a bit.  I found whats going on.  -force-opengl  Is what is breaking my game.  For those of who don't know what this does,  it gives KSP more ram or less memory usage.  I tried running this in my save it completely broke my game.  I tuck it out and it worked,  well not really.  When I take it out it can't run all of my mods, when I put it back in it breaks.  If anyone has a solution to this please let me know because its one of those things where KSP just hates me. lol

Opengl CAN work miracles in many situations but it is by far a guarantee.
Very pragmatic I know, but the answer is staring you in the face. Assuming you already use 64bit and have more than 4GB memory: Don't use opengl AND loose some mods.
