Mechjeb setup inclination

Recommended Posts

Hi. I like using mechjeb because i have problem with navigation and more like building ships.
Now i have problem from inclination. I have mission from satelit. I take 2 this mission 1 have inclination 0 all is setup and this mission is complete. But second mission satelit have inclination 25. But if this setup on mechjet giving me bad position you can look on picture.

Where is problem or what i work wrong ?

That's dictated by the Longitude of the Ascending Node ... it basically means where your AN crosses the equator, relative to some frame of reference.

The easy way to deal with this is to change the time of the burn so it occurs as you cross the AN or DN, then fix the burn so it's to the correct inclination, then see about match apoapsis and periapsis.

Sorry don't understand what you mean

Like Bewing says, you are burning after you passed the An/Dn node in that video. You need to burn on or before that node to match inclination with that targeted orbit. No idea why Mechjeb cant do it properly as Ive never used Mechjeb.

Id forget about mechjeb and focus on learning some basic orbital maneuvers first so you understand what it is mechjeb is trying to do.

The problem is that you can't tell Mechjeb to match an orbit you can't target, and it's tricky to set maneuvers to do this with only a visual reference.  At this point I'd just start eyeballing things ... bring up SmartASS, burn NML+ at DN or NML- at AN, then make your orbits intersect at one point and drop a node there.
