Part for a measuring stick?

Recommended Posts

I'm sitting here with a sudden bout of curiosity in my head, and to sate that, I need to be able to measure the length of an arbitrary part. I thought I'd do that by putting it next to a different part of known length.

Unfortunately I am not anywhere near a KSP install at the moment, so I can't work out something for myself based on a known measurement (like the diameter of fuel tanks). So instead, to save me time when I get home, I'm going to ask you: is there a part in KSP that can be easily stacked, has a uniform shape, and is exactly the length of a convenient-for-eyeballing-subdivisions amount of meters?

Failing that, what is the exact length of for example a FL-T800 fuel tank?

The engineer's report also gives height/width measurements to tenths of meters. That's what I tend to use -- make a stack, check engineer's report, add interesting part, check report again and subtract.
