What are Squad's feeling's about unoffical KSP forums?

While I'm not a member of any myself, I've heard from a few people that there are other, non-Squad-affiliated KSP forums. What are Squad's official feelings about them? Do they have any reason to want them shut down, or any legal conflict with them? If we find any, should we report them to the moderation team/Badie/Uomo Capra/HarvesteR?

You realise this would amount to shutting down half of Reddit if all games did that?

As long as said forums don't offer pirated copies of the game in their front pages, I don't see a reason to prevent free advertising. Also, there's the whole thing about freedom of speech, free Internet and all that.

 Not really, I'm not on Reddit, so I don't know much about it.

While that's all true, Squad does own the game and the rights associated with it, namely, control of who may use it. I was wondering (and hoping a mod could let me know) if Squad had any legal reason they would want unofficial forums gone.

I don't think they care, as long as you don't use copyrighted images or other content. But let's get an official answer from @Badie.

I'm actually curious at making a pseudo KSP forum that'll sit idle for when Squad decides to drop support to this forum in 5, 10, 15, however many years until Squad moves on. 

Simple purpose being to provide a haven for any players remaining wanting to discuss KSP, arrange events, etc etc. 

Course if Squad wants that not to be then so be it. Their wish is my command.

Reddit will still be a thing and r/kerbalspaceprogram has about 100000 subscribers, very active sub.

Well maybe someone will want something more independent than Reddit. That I can easily manage. Reddit can be used to make its presence known if anything.

Yeah, that'd work. Site hosting might get expensive if it keeps growing as well.

Maybe there'll be a new version of GoFundMe or something by then. Or worst case scenario, me and whoever else leads it dumps money on it but to me at least, it's a well worth investment.
