I find it awesome (older sense) how he managed to make the piece all happy and light, but throughout the entire thing (not just the faster parts) there's this almost terrible, dreadful feeling. Congrats!!!! The Nutcracker (and Tchaikovsky himself) are awesome!!! I think my favorite is the immortal Swan Lake. There is something truely haunting about this masterpiece, and once you hear it, it never really leaves your head.... ever. One of the other kids requested this as their "goal song," and as such I don't generally hear the whole thing. which is a surefire way to get a song stuck in one's head as your brain tries to complete it... One of the best, most BadS bluesy versions of Purple Rain you will ever hear (And one of those hands waving around in the audience is attached to a much younger version of me....
