Egads! Where's my bell bottoms and platform shoes? I loved rockin' to that stuff from my crib! Thanks for the flashback, man!

My pleasure... with everything going on in the world, I needed a flashback
Here's another good one:

Since we're going classic (do these qualify as moldy oldies these days? This music is over (or almost) 50 freakin' years old!) I went looking for some classic Stones, and came across this:

Early live concert version:

Okay, I have a wide selection of musical likes. I listen to Classical, country, bluegrass, early rock and roll, pop, hard rock, synth pop, big bands, and jazz and blues.

But one of my preferred singers has always been Sammy Davis, Jr.

Probably the most widely disliked album from the "band" (in quotemarks as it's more a Gilmour-Moore project), but that part from One Slip to Round and Around always drives me.

Odd. I thought "The Final Cut" was the least liked. MLoR was actually the first "PF" album I owned, also the first and only concert of theirs I'd been to. And I think that "On the Turning Away" is a powerful and fitting song for the current racial strife going on.

Anyways, on to what got stuck in my head today: On the weekend, my wife found out I had never seen John Revolta Travolta' and Olivia Newton-John in "Grease," so she made me watch it with her. As a result I wound up with "Tell Me More" echoing in my head. I tried Loggin' out, but that just took my breath away....

For Pinkylibs', The Final Cut is mostly considered the "worst", while Pinkycons' blame A Momentary Lack of Reason instead. Personally, I enjoy both (with a slight preference for AMLoR), but would agree with the idea that TFC was somewhat Roger's "first solo album", and AMLoR was David's "fourth solo album" (even if it marked Richard's comeback).

Do you mean this "On the Turning Away" :D ?

(Bad joke as your post linked to Grease)

Aw crud. I meant to check I had all the links linked properly after I posted it. My apologies for subjecting you to that. But it's fixed now. And actually, I meant to (and corrected it to) link to the 2019 live version.

That's what happens when changing posting plans mid-stream

So I was streaming some random tunes this afternoon and this one turned up in the mix.

And I couldn't help but remember that every girl is also crazy 'bout a sharp dressed Kerman.

Or at least one particular Kerman likes to think so... :)

Tonight, I'm gonna have myself a real good time
I feel alive and the world I'll turn it inside out, yeah
And floating around in ecstasy
So don't stop me now don't stop me
'Cause I'm having a good time, having a good time
I'm a shooting star, leaping through the sky
Like a tiger defying the laws of gravity
I'm a racing car, passing by like Lady Godiva
I'm gonna go, go, go
There's no stopping me
I'm burnin' through the sky, yeah
Two hundred degrees
That's why they call me Mister Fahrenheit
I'm traveling at the speed of light
I wanna make a supersonic man out of you
Don't stop me now, I'm having such a good time
I'm having a ball
Don't stop me now
If you wanna have a good time, just give me a call
Don't stop me now ('cause I'm having a good time)
Don't stop me now (yes, I'm havin' a good time)
I don't want to stop at all
Yeah, I'm a rocket ship on my way to Mars
On a collision course
I am a satellite, I'm out of control
I am a sex machine, ready to reload
Like an atom bomb about to
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh explode
I'm burnin' through the sky, yeah
Two hundred degrees
That's why they call me Mister Fahrenheit
I'm traveling at the speed of light
I wanna make a supersonic woman of you
Don't stop me, don't stop me
Don't stop me, hey, hey, hey
Don't stop me, don't stop me
Ooh ooh ooh, I like it
Don't stop me, don't stop me
Have a good time, good time
Don't stop me, don't stop me, ah
Oh yeah
Alright
Oh, I'm burnin' through the sky, yeah
Two hundred degrees
That's why they call me Mister Fahrenheit
I'm traveling at the speed of light
I wanna make a supersonic man out of you
Don't stop me now, I'm having such a good time
I'm having a ball
Don't stop me now
If you wanna have a good time (wooh)
Just give me a call (alright)
Don't stop me now ('cause I'm having a good time, yeah yeah)
Don't stop me now (yes, I'm havin' a good time)
I don't want to stop at all
La da da da daah
Da da da haa
Ha da da ha ha haaa
Ha da daa ha da da aaa
Ooh ooh ooh

Thanks Rocket Lab

I have a sneaking suspicion that this song was already posted here, but it didn't come up in a quick search, so, oh well, here we go!

My wife used to work customer service for those WebTV TVtop boxes. Like any new tech, there were issues, and using the "nuclear option" (reset to factory condition) was not uncommon. How to reset it? The user was told to enter the "Jenny code."

I'm sure my contemporaries here can guess what the "Jenny code" was...
