Delta II was also delayed multiple times recently, they said its windy.

That’s on the opposite coast.

I also deleted that post, mixed up the dates, but now there’s this:

This whole mess is sure starting to seem like some weird spy thing.  :/ Lots of cat & mouse.

Or an important government project in general, the kind of "it needs to be up there, 100% guarantee, ASAP, no questions asked" launch service the government usually goes to ULA for.

On the bright side, if SpaceX is finally getting a foothold in that market it opens up a whole host of new contracts for them.

This British guy who normally reviews telescopes says it's a Missile Defense Agency satellite based on the orbit and timing.

I was thinking that it was intended to work in tandem with USA-276. The Thursday launch window for Zuma would have had USA-276 right over head, and both launched into LEO at about 50 degrees. The Falcon 9’s first stage for the Zuma will fire its main engines for around 2 minutes, 16 seconds. That is the shortest first stage burn to date, but just one second shy of the mysterious USA-276 launched in May. I was sure they were trying to put them into the same orbit. But now with the launch dated moved to Friday - I am more confused than ever. But even still, I think your British guy might be on to something.

But with that being said, the developers of the SR-71 were more than happy for the press to speculate on the strange goings on, because their wildly wrong stories were more creditable than any of the cover stories they could come up with. :-)

Don't forget about the deliberate misinformation campaign during the F-117 operations:

Six stars... that must be significant somehow.

Probably on the number of districts of the future Martian colony.

it's been lowered and launch postponed indefinitely.

This happens sometimes, when one is tired.

Maybe Zuma already did launch

Maybe they want to make a rebrending.

Six stars for the Elven kings...

er, wait, wrong all-seeing dark overlord. :P

Lord of the Rings was "Seven Stars and Seven Crowns and One White Tree" (the seven stars are even more significant as presumably Palentir, a name already popular in the NSA).

Possibly "Six stars of the Norther Cross, in mourning of their sister's loss..."

"In a final flash of glory/Nevermore to grace the night"

I was just thinking of that...

No launch tonight... very curious about the fairing data, if they delay the same launch for three times

What about fairing data?
SpaceX don't say anything and this is unusual.
Now its curious, this is an secret mission, however will that prevent SpaceX to comment about rocket and launch issues?
If not it might be an payload issue, but this should not cause an late abort?
