Falcon heavy was announced in 2011, was supposed to be flying in 2013, so a four factor delay is reasonable

That Falcon Heavy was not the one that is about to launch.  This one is reusable.  The original Falcon Heavy would have been expendable.  It was not delayed- it was "canceled" so they could come up with a much better design.

Wait, seriously? Can you provide a source and more details for this?

Now let’s just hope it doesn’t become a permanent fixture... ಠ_ಠ

Ohh - the grand old Falcon Heavy.
They drained its tanks of fuel
And left it on the pad to rust
Cos they thought that would be kewl.

And when it was up it was up
And when it was down it was down
And when it was only halfway up - it was neither up nor down.

Yeah, having a great work day here. Can I go home yet...

if they're able to place the roadster in a Mars orbit do you think it'd be possible for a later mission to recover it and land it on Mars? as an electric car it wouldn't have any issue driving on mars other than the lack of decent off-road capability.

It’s deja vu all over again

It won’t actually be in Mars orbit. It’s orbit will stretch out to Mars’ orbital path. So it’ll be in Mars’ ‘hood

That Tesla Roadster would be pretty thoroughly demolished by the hard vacuum and radiation of space. It's not going to be a functional vehicle anymore even before it leaves Earth orbit.

Other than that, I try to keep things in perspective. The ULA payload is slated to go up, they have priority according to the same range rules SpaceX agreed to... and it is an actual payload rather than a demonstration flight with no firm launch date set because they're still testing things.

It's not an electric car any more. It has been gutted. Batteries, fluids, electronics, and anything that could interfere with the launch has been removed. It's an empty shell.

I just hope that someone secretly left a teapot (suitably eveloped in bubble wrap, of course) in the glovebox...

Me waiting for Falcon Heavy static fire

:)
Note for donkey, its an horse drawn carriage, you are pretty much an small horse so you could easy be set to some useful work.
This would also make you less annoying as you would be to tired for it.

The donkey came back to tell him, 'not this video again'.
