Boca Chica Starship has had its final ring and tank dome fitted. It looks like they were welded together on the ground before installation, rather than hoisted up and then attached as was done for the other two domes. All that remains now is fitting the nose cone, landing gear, and fins.

Pff, like we need any of that stuff. Just take the drag hit and strap on a few more engines, land the thing on the engine bell, and replace the fins with some nice gravity-defying reaction wheels.

Also:

Anybody else see Bender's head poking out of that bucket...?

Also also:

Presumably referring to the same object, confirming that the legs and fins are still the same thing in the latest design. That's important since he's said the design of the fins/legs *has* changed again.

BUT... there are at least 5 if these mounts in the picture... maybe the 2 canards in the front use the same mounts?

According to Zillow, the market value around there varies between ~72k, and 127k, most closer to the lower number. Realtor.com has some in the 50s. 3X market value is obviously a decent enough deal, but certainly not a lot of money in many cases.

Iron Maiden is the coolest metal band ever.

ETA: my handle is partially inspired by an Iron Maiden song.

There's a picture for everyone's wall whether you're in the band or building rockets.

Can't say I'm surprised or that multiple people didn't see this coming... it's too much of a regulatory hassle to deal with for just testing, and if they still want to launch the full SS/SH stack from there, then yeah, the village pretty much couldn't be inhabited for safety reasons.

Also also also it looks like I might be wrong and the 2 tweets were actually talking about different objects, confirming the landing legs ARE separate and not vice versa. So, oops.

This would be really impressive, as Starship still has a split personality and not a leg to stand on, and they're rapidly running out of month...

Also WOAH does that mean they expect to get the top bulkhead installed and the two halves put together in a WEEK?!
