To much vibration on launch, also the dynamic pressure during launch and reentry will put much stress on the connectors. I could imagine a robust latch would be better, one that automaticaly locks when the tile is placed down and can only be undone after the tile is destroyed. Yeah, quite possible assuming the tile can be destroyed without harming the skin. That said, multiple points of contact, and an additive to the studs (elastomeric adhesive?) might well work. Also, unlike jacket snaps, designed for reuse, the female side on the tile might be designed for ONE snap, pulling it destroys the female side of the snap. Because the Dragon splashes down, it can't be reused for crew, only cargo, while Starliner lands on land like Soyuz, and can be reused up to 10 times.
