Why would the FAA not approve the flight? I really don't know how this works.

They're basically saying that swapping the engines makes this a different vehicle than the one approved. Which is of course absurd, since it's not like they inspected (or would even understand it if they could) the first engines.

They have 2 hours so I'd say recycle

The tracking station's dishes are now moving away from SN9 which usually indicates they're done for the day.

(this is from the LabPadre discord btw)

Edit: yup, they're done.

I don't think SN9 is bolted down to the stand anymore, so any static fire would turn into a dynamic fire very quickly :P

A hot abort is basically a static fire.

I'd be amazed if the rocket is released before all engines verified.

“Verified.”

By some rando at local FAA when it would literally take experts months or years to figure it out. The engines were all fired already.

I wasn't meaning to comment on the FAA situation. I meant:

"The rocket has to be able to survive a hot fire abort. All engines have to be producing expected thrust before lift off. Therefore I'd be amazed if the rocket doesn't have launch clamps that are only released after ignition."

Welp:

Who knows what's going on.

Yeah there is this https://tfr.faa.gov/save_pages/detail_1_7364.html#restrictions for infinite height.

But it is older than this https://tfr.faa.gov/save_pages/detail_1_8562.html that is only up to 7200 feet.

I dont really know how to interpret that. Is the older one still in effect as well or only the newer, low altitude one,

If you haven't heard yet it was a car that caused the rapid scrub. I have no idea how he got past the police roadblock.

Reading your updates over the last 2 days I’m convinced your watching the wrong stream
