Well, 20+ years is kinda the best case scenario right now anyway, so...

Someone born this year could conceivably be an intern on the team when it actually gets there.

But then again... say this gets switched to Starship...

How fast could it conceivably get to Uranus with a 100-tonne braking stage lobbed by a fully-fueled Starship?

I saw someone in Twitter suggest 1.5y could be done (not sure if for 100t or standard probe).

But it'd arrive at low Saturn orbit at 30km/s.

Haven't run the maths myself.

With all the SLS analogies - if applicable - Uranus won't get probed for a long time

Mars 2020 was the previous decadal priority, and Perseverance is on Mars right now, so I would say this is a little pessimistic. On the other hand, a voyage to Uranus is expected to take something like 13 years in transit, so it's not going to get there tomorrow even if we launched it today.

Did the first stage just hover?

It was an interesting move... but I don't think the booster can hover... so I suspect that the deck of the drone ship may have been moving downward just then.

Ah, that could be. I never saw the booster start moving up, but it was very close to stationary from the droneship.

That's a bold claim; I hear the Wifi on Betelgeuse Prime is pretty smokin'...

Sure - if you have the credits for it, Mr. Moneybags

The rest of us have to wirejack

A news site from my country said startship might me launching next week but that's impossible right?

Yes, that's impossible, doesn't even have engines right now.
