I recently installed AVP with the 8k textures onto EVE Redux.  Scatterer and Waterfall are also installed.  All is well and I am happy with it except that so far there is fog or mists on Ike and Mun.  I find this jarring and would like that gone.  Is it possible?

I'm using AVP with Eve, Scatterer, DistantObjects, Planetshine.  When I also use Rescale/SigmaDimensions at 2.5x  I can't see any aurora on Kerbin anymore.  Otherwise it looks fantastic, as usual.

OK, it turns out they disappear below a certain altitude.  Once I'm up above 200k or so they show up.  Weird.  Never noticed that before.

Weird problem: I'm seeing cloud effects on planets that should not have clouds, Mun, Moho, etc, is that normal?

DPfP8ho.png

Yes, there are configs for dust clouds on a number of planets. If you dislike this feature, go to the AstronomersVisualPack\AVP_Configs folder in GameData and delete or edit the Duststorms.cfg file. Or move it to some folder if you want to have it on hand just in case.

EDIT: Worth noting the Duna dust storms are also made by this same file, so you may prefer to edit the file to remove the objects for other planets and moons.

First of all:  This pack looks absolutely stunning!

Unfortunately I have some glitches on Kerbin's Dark Side: https://imgur.com/a/UfKRssc (It's impossible to record.  It looks like  overlapping of clouds)

You can see my log here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/qzp4ozvsgp0fvrq/KSP.log?dl=0

I removed TUFX, but it didn't resolve the issue. Turing off TAA in Scatterer also didn't seem to do anything. I believe it has something to do with the clouds, but I easily could be wrong.

I appreciate any help.

EDIT: I am using Paralax as well.

Thank you in advance!

Yeah so I go into it AstronomersVisualPack\AVP_Configs\Stock\Duststorms.cfg, removed all but Duna, restart the game... and its still there on Moho.

Your probably mean the ablation effect on Moho. Try deleting the following section from AVP_Configs/Stock/Glow.cfg

Spoiler

OBJECT
    {
        name = Moho-ablation
        body = Moho
        altitude = 450000
        detailSpeed = 220,160,-200
        speed = 0,0,0
        offset = 200,-108,220
        settings
        {
            _Color = 75,65,45,300
            _DetailScale = 1
            _DetailDist = 0.0000001
            _DistFade = 100
            _MainTex
            {

            }
            _DetailTex
            {
                value = AstronomersVisualPack/AVP_Configs/Textures/detailnoise
            }
        }
        layer2D

            macroCloudMaterial
            {
                _RimDistSub = 0
                _FalloffScale = 0.8
                _RimDist = 1
                _InvFade = 0

Are there known issues with FAR or KSPBurst?
I copied a completely functional instance in CKAN and added only those two mods and now none of the AVP eve configs are showing up

Idk how to add images but thats the EVE manager and surroundings ->  https://imgur.com/BlUmS8w
If this Isn't the right place to send this or you want and game info I can send it I just wanted a quick confirm to start
Edit: From continuing in the game it seems there are a bunch of Conflicts including textures unlimited and potentially scatterer or parallax as lighting is having a seizure
Where should I ask for help (general or specific mod) or is a full mod reinstall the best idea before asking ~11gb

Will this mod and the parralax mod be compatible together?

CKAN said this---"AstronomersVisualPack 3:v4.13 depends on AVP-Textures, which is not compatible with the currently installed game version"

Nice!

I never understood the point of that Moho effect. Glad to know I can remove it!
