1.3 crashes on startup

My problem is the same as what everyone else is having. Steam updated my game, and now it crashes halfway through loading to the main menu. Honestly just putting my crash file here to give the devs more info.

I can see a number of mods in your current installation. At the moment, mods and v1.3 don't work very well, and you are better off using version 1.2.2.

So, I'm having the same problem. Game crashed out from Steam half-way through the loading process. (NOTE: I'd post the logs if someone can tell me how to put that on the forums without a filesharing site...)

Also, as another twist... when I went and changed to go back to 1.2.2, Steam then re-downloaded the game. But I got the same crash during the loading sequence.

Which makes me wonder, maybe it's a mod updated/new-conflict-issue that is causing this?

FYI heavy users of Mechjeb......CKAN is showing Mechjeb compatible with KSP 1.3.9, but it is NOt, so heads up. I've only found about 6 or 7 that really are compatible. Give it a few days and things will start to flow again.

I had the same problem now when I got the update, both in 32 and 64-bit modes. I did have some mods installed (Infernal Robotics, KAS, KIS, and Kerbal Engineer Redux), and after reading the above about the mods possibly causing the issue, I decided to try deleting them. The game works fine now, so maybe it's something to do with those mods?

I have the crash since 1.3, too, but I've uninstalled all of my mods (and the game), and it's still there.

If you are experiencing crashing in an unmodded game you should post over in the Unmodded forum.

Strange... I removed all of mine but KER and it worked...

I had 39 mods and only scansat was incompatible, according to ksp AVC. Removed scansat and game loaded just fine

I only had a few that weren't compatible, removed them, still didn't work...

Check the release thread for each mod to make sure they are all compatible.

Oh i think this should work had same issue tried everything, but what i did to make it fixed was go to game files select all of them and delete them (make sure to backup any ships if you have any) and then verify game files then reinstall which only took me 4 mins, and run the game normally and its fixed, well for me its is, if it doesn't work for you, then i'm sorry that this isn't any help to you.
