Here's Nasa's page that will let you track where the Mars Science Laboratory is compared to Mars and its designated landing site until Nasa starts streaming live from the control room in about 9 hours.

Which, to me, would seem like a bad thing. Let's just hope it works out well for the folks at NASA.

If you are away from a computer, you can download the NASAtv app for a mobile phone, it's pretty useful when you don't have access to a computer/tv

I'm watching this right now too, on NasaTV's stream (don't want the Ustream chat). They just severed communications, so I guess it's down to the vehicle now... They keep pushing how difficult the landing will be in the commentary.

I hope everything goes well. My only concern is wind gusts when the parachute is deployed could maybe move it off course a little or lot.

The margin of error is 20km, and with a landing radar with full RCS control it should hit the target..

At first I wondered why they were eating peanuts... Then I realized the stupidity of using champagne.

As of right now, Curiosity is either a pancake of assorted wires and lab equipment or is safely on the surface. HNNNGGGG
