Good point.

So the devs work on the expansion, and the PR guys announce v1.4.  The next week, the devs work on the expansion, and since the PR guys have nothing to say about v1.4, announce v1.5.  After that, they can't say anything about 1.4 or 1.5, so they just go ahead and announce v1.6.  And so on.

Or maybe the devs are neck deep in making the expansion, so they have nothing on the board for v1.4 that's worth the PR guys announcing it right now?  Or maybe no one knows what the future holds right now?

But yeah.  That's no reason not to announce v1.4... :rolleyes:

Slippery slopes make fun slides.

You mean keep going until we have an open roadmap? Why what a brilliant idea!

While I'm excited to see all the new features being implemented, I find the continued lack of detail on the consoles to be not concerning, but rather expected.

How hard is it to possibly give a link to a video showing what all is improved? I mean, the shadows were cool and all, but I'm sure console gamers care way more about their saves and the broken maneuver node than some VFX improvements. Improvements I might add that are almost irrelevant since most players spend their time in aircraft and spacecraft.

Come on @SQUAD, it's T- 33 days and counting until a year has passed since this was released on the consoles!

@LegendaryAce

SQUAD has repeatedly affirmed that no save issues persist in their latest internal builds. Additionally, the maneuver node appears to have been improved, though I can't say that the issue of which you speak has been fixed.

Additionally, it is difficult to call any such improvement "irrelevant," since by its nature KSP is a platform for many kinds of gameplay, several of which involve close proximity between an object which casts a shadow and an object which recieves a shadow. For example, the shadow is an essential tool in landing on the featureless terrain of KSP bodies. Shadows are also cast from part to part. Additionally, several members use ingame footage in artworks, which places a greater weight on graphical fidelity. Do not be so quick to discount the way others play just because it is different from your own preference.

You can't blame console players to be somewhat skeptical about @SQUAD's 'affirmations' after they claimed they "solved the save file issues" for consoles +/- 8 months ago.

Additionally, SQUAD/Deported offered no refunds or other forms of recompense for their broken product which is scandalous to say the least... so I can fully understand the anger, frustration and disillusion that our console brethren and sistren have experienced over the past year.

That's pretty much the whole of it. Bottom line is, if THIS PATCH  doesn't fix the issue, I'm done with the game and filing for legal action.

I hate to be that guy, but someone needs to be held accountable if a THIRD try fails.
