thanks for the information freethinker. i just stacked two MCF's one in DD mode. one in D-T mode, it was happiness... now im gonna rage at reactor embrittlement for a while, but the pittance of deuterium i put on the test craft (2400 approx) lasted 4 years, but only took 1 to reach embrittlement cap >< they dont makem like they used too!

Solar wind contain a mixture of atoms emited by the sun, the majority consist of Hydrogen and Helium, only a fraction consists of Helium3

Mm I see the problem. I have some ideas at least partialy  (based on skill level) revert the embrittlement, by allowing engeneers to repair the reactor on EVA  using rocket parts , at least that way you should be able to maintain the reactor for many ears at the expanse of labour cost and rocket parts. Would that be intresting? Note I'm planning a bigger role for Ketbal the engeneer anyway. It should also give you a reason to train your engeneers.

i would probably build another fusion station and stick it up there (with the other) for 4 years then repair the 1 station 4 times to be honest

 

now if i got PAID to repair those stations...

or repairing gave a bonus i.e. embrittles 10% slower if repaired at 50%(max) embrittlement. Untill it doesnt embrittle anymore. That would motivate the hell out of me. would also make me create an engineer specific ship to go around and do that. 

or it could say be repaired 4 times, and it looses its embrittlement permanently would make me happier =P

Why do you need constant power your Microwave network? Technically, you only need to power the network when you intend to use it, otherwise 99.9999999999% of your power is effectvely wasted.

Well since tiers are assigned to specific time periods, then fission tech should be moved back to lower tier.

Well, that is not possible as that would make Nuclear reactors available before RTG. The problem is KSPI does not live in a vacuum, but has to adapt existing parts and part from other mods. Given I had only 6 tech nodes to work with, I think I did a pretty good job.

also its a multiplayer server we all use the network abiet randomly, would be annoying to have someone cut it off while your landing, or have to turn it back on every time you make a ship.

It appears the part is not correctly initialised durring startup. Something must have gone wrong. Please verify you log on any Exceptions.

Edit: Alright, I found some exception in a CKAN installtion, going to fix it ASAP

Edit: Found a sollution, will post an update soon.

 

Btw, you realy should not get your radiators get so hot, it's not good for electric engine performance, more radiators translate into more power ..

I have a question.

What is everyone else using for fuel tanks for nuclear engine propellants? I find the Interstellar Liquid Fuel Tanks aren't quite varied enough to meet my needs... what I'd really like is the ability to put, say, hydrogen, into a Procedural Tank. Is there any way to do that?

Greetings.

 

Is it just me, or is someone made a mistake on spelling again, my stock Ion Engine reads that it requires megajoules and Xenon Gas as fuel. All fueltanks, including those that comes with KSPI-E, reads XenonGas. I think that engines still work, but KER doesn't calculate their dV, which is bit of  a pain, really. I though that we rid from this weird resource naming thing, when pretty much all modders started to support CRP?

Well, I'll ask about one thing that is not implemented on KSPI, but maybe you can help me. I have picked up one engine from Near Future, and changed the propellant to NeonGas, just for fun. But I'm seeing that neon needs a cryostat tank, because when I reach big speeds on atmosphere, or when i make gross maneuvers on space, it consumes the NeonGas. Can anyone tell what I need to do? I've already done a tank that stores only neon.

You can add every fuel to every fuel tank with Modular Fuel Tank. As far as I know is the only way to do it.

KSPI actually support CRP. It has CRP as a dependency and it's included in the download.

I know right. Here is the issue, someone who wrote the MM-patches for stock Ion engine and Nerteas engines, made a bloober of some sort. Also, while in the subject, who's smart idea was to make ion engines use MejaJoules instead of EC? Now tiny reactor wont able to power small ion probe, and that...isn't fun.

Liquid fuel,Oxidizer,LFO, monopropellant, diborane, kerosene, helium. In one of tanks HTP is missing.

 

Second one: Add Radioactive Material Holding Tank (based on universal holding tank).

It could contain UF4, Th4, UraniumNitride, EnrichedUranium, Depleted Fuel and Actinides. By default if tank is set to contain depleted fuel or actinides, then it should be empty.

 

Third one: Update MFT confing - its missing UF4/Kerosene/Diborane

There is a problem with radiators. Deleting that new config for near future electrical didnt help, i had to delete nfe mod to fix radiators... Anyway their cooling capacity went way down 0.something for most of them

@darkmensale Notice in Near Future Mode, all reactors produce 500 times less power. For game balance Redaitor maximum wasteheat capacity is reduced by a factor 500 time less as well. This way you need equivalent amount of radiators for both in non NF mode as NF mode. At least that was  my intention.

Did you notice I added a Universal Nuclear Holding tank already? Also I  updated the MFT MM script.

I posted this as is without any edits.

I saw this Nuclear Tank :) There is no depleted fuel and actinides storage - I saw plans on OP fuel table here, that involves actinides.

What happens to actinides or depleted fuel or fusion products if its getting produced, and there is no more room here?

And MM patch - now I checked it and indeed its updated.

Well my reactors are still producing same amount of power and heat so everything started to overheat, thats how i noticed... There is no way to cool them down with this. Is there a way to revert this? What do i have to delete?
