Build a craft, even load a stock one, game freezes every five seconds once the craft is launched.

Recommended Posts

I usually spend around 30 mins making a craft, and when I go to launch it, even if it's stock, the game will like freeze. Then the craft will load, except the game will again, freeze for like a minute at a time, and only load a single frame. It's really frustrating!!!! I loaded the Aeris A-3, a completely stock, small craft, and the same thing happened. I installed a few mods, launched a craft, it happened. Thinking that the mods must be causing it, I uninstalled the mods completely, and yet, it's still happening. Any help? :/

I notice a repetitive lag/pause in gameplay of 1-3 seconds that I do find annoying, but I have not experienced the long delays that you seem to have.  I'd maybe start looking into device drivers, graphic card settings, and RAM...

Modern hardware when overheating will significantly drop performance.

For example, I once had a CPU fan to stop on Supermicro/Xeon and it started to lag in browser. Since I was carrying headphones, I heard no siren and only after about a minute, after checking in KSysguard, I removed the headphones and shut the system down... luckily, no damage happened, cpu passed Prime SP2004 afterwards.

Also, I can very well imagine that [x] Science! "Here and Now" is running somewhere, it checks for new biomes against experiments at about once in 5 seconds..

I only installed a few part pack mods, and KSP runs fine on my computer, having around 30-40fps. But I found out that I had too much stuff around the KSC, so I recovered all of that, launched the craft again, and it works!
