[1.7.3] Graphics Enhancements Assembly (GEA)

This looks very nice.

But the problem is:

  • DirectX 11 and KSP 1.4.1 don't like each other (icon issues, glitches etc.)
  • Same for OpenGL
  • GEA wants DirectX or OpenGL 11 to look really good.

So actually I just can't decide to use it.

Removed scatter because it was too buggy, but this mod is still stunning without it!

Thanks! We will work on this! :D

Yeah I know. But it's problem in KSP since 1.4.0. Now we're thinks what can do with this problem. And thank you for reporting!

A scatterer-less option would be pretty cool :)

Jeez, man, I get that you want to use it for 1.4.1, but no point in asking the dev to make a scatterer-less version instead of just waiting for scatterer's stable 1.4.1 update just on the horizon.

Hi

I’m new here and before all, a big thank you for your mod.

it’s working fine with my Mac OS High Sierra ( Radeon Pro 560 4Go) and I have only one question, is it normal when I’m not in the orbital map (near my crafts) I don’t see any star... the space is black ink.

Thank you again

It is a normal thing. It's means, what Distant Object does works. :)

It's not working for me (using Windows. game version 1.4.1). I'm seeing white sky & sea.
those texture mods are frustrating because it's not the first one I'm trying, was it tested to be working?

Are you using Dx11/OpenGL?

Hello! when clicking the difficulty button on creating a new save, i am getting a null reference exception. any idea why that could be happening?
EDIT: Snacks was the culprit, something funky must have happened with 1.4.2

I tried forcing the game to those modes but got the same results, I'm using Nvidia GeForce GTX 960.
I dunno I can't figure it out, I've tried several graphics mods as I've said

Try to remove Scatterer mod plz.

disabling scatterer mod gives me the stock visuals.

with the mod I get a white sky/water no matter what mod I force the game into (open gl, dx11 etc). any clue?

Don't use OpenGL/Dx11 with GEA on the KSP 1.4.x

@Davian Lin

This appears to be a modpack.  I generally don't like my mods to be included in a modpack, since it can get outdated very quickly.  Specifically, LoadingScreenManager, which you included here, already has been updated since you included it in this pack.

You also didn't even request permission to include it.

And if you wonder why I waited until now to mention this, I only became aware of the modpack and it's contents this morning.

Please remove it, and make it either a dependency or a recommended mod in CKAN.

I would also strongly recommend that you do the same with all the other mods, and just include in this mod either a CKAN file to make it easy for users to install, add them all as dependencies in CKAN, or at least ask permission of the other mod authors.

Modpacks aren't a very good idea, it is better to include in your mod only the new files and include the others as dependencies.
