[1.11.x] Jimbodiah's Patch Laboratory

It will check for RSS and SSRSS, so it will not work in a stock game. These patches are not meant to be cheaty, and SSRSS is quite the contrary as it makes stock sized (1/10) RSS even harder vs stock.

If you really want, you can text edit the rss.cfg and remove the :NEEDS[RealSolarSystem&!SSRSS] and then it will work in stock as well. You can play with the numbers to change the ratios even more.

Cool,  Thanks Jim...thats what i wanted to know, i wanted to mess around with some over powered Stock and SSTU toys just for fun of it (putting a Space Station around Eeloo in one Launch kind of thing).

You can optionally use Alt-F12 and set unlimited fuel/electricty

I can also highly recommend Near Future Propulsion if you want scifi engines at the end of the techtree. It has super high isp engines. You will need NF Electric for nuclear reactors to power the engines.

Version 1.3 released. Check the links on the first page to download.

WARNING: Contains changes that may cause ships to be removed from your save-game. Please undock any parts that contain the BDB or SSTU parts for ATVs, as well as the COS-USI and COS-TAC modules AND BACK-UP YOUR GAME SAVES

  • [SSTU] Added COS Station parts for storage in sizes XS/S/M/L (SSTUVolumeContainer).  [SSTU may release a stock part to replace these in the near future, make sure you can undock these as I will remove them once they become redundant]

  • [SSTU] Added ATV cargo units; copies of the COS-Storage with Command/SAS/ReactionWheels/ScienceBox modules added. Send custom resupply missions and return science back to Kerbin/Earth.

  • [SSTU] Reworked COS-TAC and COS-USI Life-Support recycler units (less storage, focussing more on recyclers)

  • [SSTU] Cleaned up COS-TOURIST pods

  • [BDB] Added SSTUVolumeContainer to a copy of the BDB Aardvark cargo section.

  • [MechJeb] Changed condition to ":Final" as some parts did not get mechjeb added to them.

  • Added patch to add resources to all VolumeContainer parts for USI-LS, TAC-LS, DeepFreeze, Snacks, NF Propulsion

  • [SSTU] Removed ATV-M, ATV-USI and ATV-TAC parts; resources available on stock parts in next SSTU release

  • [SSTU] Removed COS-TAC, COS-USI, DOS-TAC and DOS-USI parts; resources available on stock parts in next SSTU release

  • [SSTU] Removed old RadialScienceBay part; new part available that become available during the techtree.

  • [BDB] Removed the TAC-LS copy of the Apollo Block3 Mission Module

The SSTUVolumeContainer is a module by SSTU that lets you add any combination of resources to the storage space which allows you to make custom setups for your resupply missions and not be stuck to a fixed set of resources. So if you want to add 50 monoprop, 5200 xenon, 500 liquidfuel and some TAC resources, well, now you can with the newly added COS-Storage, COS-ATV and BDB Aardvark parts.

Changes in upcoming version:

[SSTU] Added 2.5m Orion CM/CMX/BPC
[JPL] Removed RocketParts conversion from ISRU (will come back in a seperate part later)
[JPL] Changed size of ISRU from COS-XS to COS-S
[JPL] Added FTL Drives to COS-Miner and COS-Miner2 (should rename them, as they are just huge probe cores for general use)

v1.3.2 on github for download with the above changes.

Hey @Jimbodiah, is it possible for the SSRSS Patch to only affect SSTU Engines ?

Reason for asking is that i use Kartoffelkuchen's SpaceX Mod where the Launchers seem to be fairly balanced for SSRSS but with your patch none of them can even reach orbit with any Cargo :D

I still think for SSTU the patch it is feasible, even for stock.

Or maybe there is a MM Command to skip a specific folder ? So your Patch would be able to change all engines EXCEPT the ones from a specific mod ?

My MM Knowledge is rather Basic here :P
