Blade_N Posted August 6, 2012 Share Posted August 6, 2012 Hey everyone, after all this fuss about the Curiosity rover landing on mars, I've decided to send my own rover to land on the Mun!The rover is able to move around using RCS linear port thrusters, and is using wheels instead of landing legs.On the way to landing, I also spotted my first Mun Arch, included in the video, but it's from afar and only seen as blinking light reflecting off it, I've captured some images if you're interested c:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6wtYgFzoTEo&feature=youtu.be Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
kyle.mk.howard Posted August 6, 2012 Share Posted August 6, 2012 If you get the cart plugin you can actually come pretty close to replicating the Curiosity landing, if you grab the Lionhead add on you can actually use the sky crane (which is very similar to what they used last night on Mars) to land your rover.Great video, love how you saw the Munolith off in orbit.
