forum keeps asking login credentials

It's a couple of days now that I keep getting asked my username and password even if at the last login I choose "remember me"

It happens every time I don't access the forum for a few hours

Am I the only one?

I get this chiefly whenever I log on from a different device - it logs me out on all others.

If I only browse the forum at home, my browser there will remember my login credentials indefinitely. But as soon as I decide to log in from my phone while out and about, I will discover on my return home that my browser is now logged out. If I log in at home again, I will then find that my phone has been logged out again.

Somehow the forum seems to be allergic to multiple concurrent devices.

I don't think multiple devices is the problem

I just tried and I can login from multiple (3) devices and remain connected on all 3 at the same time

It was doing that for me as well. when I bounce between the office, tablet, and home I would have to login each time. It has since cleared for me. It's now keeping me logged in at the office and at home.

Not sure what it was, cause I didn't do anything to clear it. I suspect a bad cookie or similar that has since expired. But, these dare intertubes looker thangs</southern drawl> are pretty near magic to me.

Since the last time I posted it asked me to login again

Which means it lasts less than 1 hour

I used to have the same problem with switching between my computer and my phone, it would log me out of which ever one I wasn't currently using.

Stopped happening a while ago though and now it keeps me logged in on both.

Not sure why.

based on some tests I've done it seems like the duration is about 30 minutes, after 30 minutes I get the login screen

Hello guys, Im going to look into this, its strange because is not happening to me, I use google chrome, which browser are you using?

Have you tried clearing the browser's cache & cookies?

I use Chrome on my phone and PC and also have this issue, except I've only used my phone for the past couple weeks.

chrome on my laptop and work pc and the default "internet" app from my samsung smartphone

 

I haven't tried clearing cache and cookies, but I have the same issue if I use private browsing (without closing the window it should stay connected but after roughly half an hour if I refresh it asks me the login again)

 

I am trying with firefox now

I get this problem as well. Using Chrome on Linux, Windows 10, and Android, whenever I login on one device/OS I am logged out of the others. This was not the case until quite recently, within the last few days I feel.

It's been happening to me since they updated to ipboard 4. This isn't the only ipboard 4 board I use this happens on, all of them do. It wasn't happening in the 3.x versions.

Ok, it seems to me that within half hour everything works fine

After half hour (more or less) of inactivity if in the meantime I have logged in with different devices and/or browsers I am asked to login again

This doesn't happen to me, and I'm on Firefox. I don't have the forums on multiple devices, tho.
