Kerbal Kombat

If different Kerbal nations existed, how in general would they engage in warfare against one another given Kerbin's smaller size and their ability to run extremely efficient economies(as evidenced by the ridiculously cheap spacecrafts they can build), but with lower populations and presumably denser urbanization?

What would Kerbal body armor look like, and what kinds of martial arts would they develop?

How would spaceflight play in to their wars?

And what do we know about their preexisting violent tendencies? We know from STEADLER  Engineering Corps' agency description that Kerbals have stun guns and know what a military is, and from the description of the science node for nuclear propulsion it says "Let's just hope it doesn't start any conflicts."

And lastly, from the part description of the Mainsail engine, it references "entire small nations", meaning that they likely have organized themselves into differing nations, so: tl;dr, Kerbals are not peaceful at all, at least outside spaceflight.

Probably a lot like Orks, minus the hyper-aggression.

Their technology tends to be crude but effective, their vehicles ramshackle, smoke-belching contraptions that can be built from whatever scrap metal is available.

cheerfully psychotic Football Hooligans and the odd Mad Scientist for good measure, making them the closest thing the setting has to "comic relief".

the Orkish race is latently, if unconsciously, psychic, which explains how some of their stranger devices are able to function—the Orks think they should, so they do.

Finally, Orks reproduce by shedding spores, especially upon death, thus ensuring that any world they visit is doomed to do battle with recurring greenskin hordes.

The army also has a strong random element in the form of Weirdboyz' psychic powers and the Meks' more esoteric weapons, which can either clinch a victory or make a plan fall flat on its face. Most Ork players quickly develop a sense of humor about this, laughing when a Mekboy manages to fire himself out of his own gun, Grot slaves are used for mine clearance, or a looted vehicle slams into a wall instead of shooting correctly.
