Please don't let it be so! It might make the devs more money, but the forums would be full of pre-pubescent 11 year olds calling everyone noobs. no offence to any 11-12 year olds on the forums, I know your not all like that. :P

It's already been mentioned, and it's already been decided.

Really, KSP was born on the PC, it will live on the PC. The game in its current state may work on a console on paper, but the game is going to eventually grow twenty-fold from where we are now, if not more. Tycoon mode, hundreds of parts, space stations, interplanetary missions... the list goes on, and each item added to the list is a massive blow to the feasibility of a console version of KSP.

Like it or not, it simply won\'t happen.

From this thread.

A severely limited Wii U version with the tablet bit being the navball, controls, and staging interface would be amazing.

Yea sure, you might have some neat features on a console like that, but then it becomes a lot like minecraft on the xbox - the game is there, but no mods and all of that good stuff that makes the game truly amazing.

Now, KSP can't do that since it is so reliant (fortunately) on the community for user-made parts, mods, and the like. KSP on the console is like KSP without a community, really.

Yeah, it won't happen. I'd be in favor of any increase to the game's size, but it would be really, REALLY difficult to work onto consoles. Even if it did work, it'd be very difficult to control. It can already be pretty tough on PC.

If I remember correctly from the Kurt Livestream they don't have any plans atm for a console version but they might do a iPhone/Android VAB so you can design rockets on the go!

A "Mun-Landing Simulator" where you design a small landing craft with a limited number of parts and then get dropped at a pre-determined height and speed above the Mun's surface (with Kerbin painted on in the background) for Xbox-Live/PSN might work. But that doesn't mean it would be good. ^^

(also, seeing Squad spend their time on developing something console-compatible rather than working on KSP proper would be kinda annoying from a purely selfish "DOES WANT UPDATES NAW" point of view.)
