Hello all , It has been awhile and was wondering if anyone could let me know what the max part count is roughly? 

Using ok pc. If I remember right Think it use to be around 1k.

There is no "max part count" per se. The limiting factor is your computer specs and your tolerance of lag.

As an additional note though, you can turn up "max physics delta time" in the game play options menu to make the game smoother and more tolerable at high part counts if you are having issues. This will let the game run in a sort of "slow-mo" for a bit when it needs to in order to catch up.

My personal "max" so far is just over 1,700 for my ship in the Retro Solar Rescue Challenge. It lagged a bit 'til I staged the boosters, but I also jumped out the window for a gaming laptop that cost more than my car, so that probably helped. Actually, it probably says more about my car.

Lol, I think so.

To answer the question at hand, you'll just have to play and see how your comp handles it. They've improved the game a bit in regards to this and there are also mods out there like the following which can help with part counts.
