From Artwork designs to a working prototypes

Recommended Posts

Hey guys!

I thought of a challenge for you guys;

if I could draw a design or an artwork/paintings of anything (KSP related),

See if you be able to make it and build it in ksp and post your pictures here.

(sorry if there are similar challenges like this before in this forum, I did not have time to do a bit of searching)

ok let me upload some drawings!!

Interesting.  It looks to me like the "Fat fox" is using the MK 4 spaceplane system mod.  I will try to build it later, but i have a question, is it intended to be a seaplane with the engines above the wings?

The small blue bee looks amazing, I'm going to try and make it. I think I'll try a stock hinge cockpit.

This is my design of the Heavy Lifter Mk3. I am not entirely satisfied with how it turned out. I really need those procedural wings.....

Note: If you don't have autostruts enabled then this craft will break into confetti at 800 m/s. Heavy maneuvering at that velocity is ill advised

Note 2: The mods used are Ven's Stock Revamp and Tweakscale.

Could you do other kinds of planes? Small ones for example. Here you're mostly doing big beasts planes.

And BTW, is your seaplane a passenger aircraft or a cargo hauler?

All together really, maybe 4 variants;

1)hauler,

2)cargo,

3)firefighting seaplane.

4) passenger with light cargo

 I think of it as  a C-17 that floats and take off from sea.

Could you please specify if a design is meant for atmospheric flight or space flight?

More art!!! Seriously, that is some of the best KSP art I have ever seen. I must build that mk1 plane. *must resist urge to play KSP before physics and algebra homework is finished*

cant think of a name for it ?

Maybe the Sky Behemoth for the first one (unless they are both the same thing, It's kinda hard to tell tbh.) and the Argo Navis for the one below.

@Wanner364 I decided to give modelling your Blue Streak a go.  Here is the basic airframe shape so far without the canards and intake.

IT2PPjS.pngLength = 15m
Height = 1.625m
Fuselage Width = 2.5m
Wingspan = 8m

Might take me a few weeks but I will eventually get this flying.
