Three Planets for YZ Ceti

Three small, rocky planets have been detected around the red dwarf YZ Ceti about 12 light-years away. It is a 0.16 solar radius flare star less than 2 light-years from Tau Ceti. Radial velocity observations confirmed three planets with orbital periods of 1.97, 3.06, and 4.66 days. A fourth planet orbiting every 1.04 days may also exist. The three confirmed planets are the lightest worlds found by radial velocity, with masses of 0.75, 0.98, and 1.14 M_E, with the extra candidate being around 0.472 M_E. Unfortunately, none of these worlds reside within their star's habitable zone, but this may turn out to be a system similar to TRAPPIST-1, with at least half a dozen planets in a resonant chain.
