Yasss. Salyut 7 is now legally available on YouTube in its entirety. For free.

I really enjoyed that movie, but it contains one of the most ridiculous dramatic-emotional slow-motion shot ever (around 26 minutes) when Fyodorov is drifting his GAZ-24 model 81. I mean, if he had been in a Chaika why not, but a Volga... even the GAZ-53 he passed by could be have been a more appropriate one.

It's a pity that I haven't seen it and won't. Like its earlier counterpart, too.

Teh drama-drama.

Just 80 t of kerosene.
B-747 has 240 t, like 3 Soyuzes, and 500 maniacs are sitting right on it.

You’re forgetting that cryogenic liquid that basically makes anything it comes in contact with highly flammable, including maniacs. ;)

if only there were 10,000 instead, those were the days...

Yes, but if the total heat production is defined by the fuel amount.
So, B-747 has 3 times more fuel than Soyuz. And no 150 m safety distance.

Mix them, and boom.

It's not a high-disperse cloud of 0.8 kt yield with BBBOOM, it's boom-boom-pshh-boom-Boom-boom.

Remember Vostok and Gemini with their ejections seats.

(Gemini btw used a hypergolic rocket)

Also they are probably standing near some vault.
