Somebody must have made an offer... they couldn’t refuse. *cue mandolins* <_<

They’re going to run out of river names by the end of the decade.

It may be another rocket, not a rename.

I disagree. It’s the same superheavy, just with a cargo fairing. Why would there be a second superheavy?

Just seems strange that they'd rename it so quickly. Maybe it has different upper stages. Hard to tell without paywall access.

Not at all. Soviet tradition of multiple names for multiple aspects of development.

If rename Federation into Rostov, and launch it with Don, the whole complex can be named Rostov-on-Don.

You may joke, by since Federation is up for a rename, and it may as well be a city name...

That would be a fun naming convention for mission stacks.

The contest of talismans for the MS-12 commander Alexei Ovchinin is finished in Rybinsk.
He'll take a chime and a book of poems "Rybinsk. The best city". They are chosen between 20 others.

In 2016 he took a fish whistle with views of Rybinsk and a plush owl.

On MS-10 he was accompanied by a toy dachshund sewn in memory of a pet.

The solar probe Interheliozond (currently planned on 2026, originally on 2015) is now suspended because of money.
It was/is in the draft project phase. They sticked in the mass constraints of the probe and a rocket. Now they took a pause.
Some other missions are suspended, too. The international ones are priority.

Roscosmos refused to consider the Musk's new engine characteristics as outstanding.
Musk said that Raptor has higher pressure in the chamber, but Roscosmos insists that one does not simply compare the work of the engines using different fuel circuits.
Raptor uses methalox, and high pressure for this propellant is not something outstanding. RD-180 uses kerolox, and can potentially produce >280 atm. Only thrust and ISP make sense.
Though, they congratulate SpaceX with this success.

The Institute of Biomedical Problems concludes that microbes and mildews could not gnaw through the MS-09 hull, the hole was made by somebody else.
Though these microscopic gnats have eaten some inner panels in ISS making to replace them.

P.S.
What do you say now, Bear Grylls?

They also called Musk “not a technical specialist” and appreciated “first successes” of SpaceX in rocket engine building. Imagine being so out of touch.

Somebody should tell him the bare truth.

Of course, this somebody shoud be the organization whose spacecraft have holes, whose many satellites are exploring the depths of Pacific ocean, and whose rockets are generally uncompetitive. Telling that Musk's engines are unimpressive. The irony.

Few know that Musk's full name is Elonislav Muskovsky

Always said that Gwynne Shotwell, nee Gurevich, and her MiG rockets were Roscosmos’s last gambit.
