Rogozin stated that the manual docking was nominal, and that on the ship side the Kurs system was working good, but on the ISS end two (semi? sub?) sets of Kurs were switching to each other, that's why the crew docked manually.

(They were competing for honour to greet the first space actress)

So, question for y'all: according to wikipedia, the russian movie that went best at the box office gathered 68 million dollars in 2013. If we approximate the ISS trip cost as 100 million dollars (correct this approximation if it needs it), do you think the movie will be able to pay back at least the launch?

Additionaly to this news and topic there are some interesting info about the film. The plot of the film provides for a flight to the International Space Station, which is scheduled for the fall of 2021 on the Russian manned spacecraft Soyuz MS. The main character of the film, who will fly to the ISS, and his understudy will be determined by the results of an open competition. The title of the film has not yet been confirmed. Also, they are coming about at 17 of October I belive, so the editing starts soon, I guess.

Meet Fedor’s big brother:

EKATERINBURG, September 15 - RIA Novosti.  The tests of the robot to ensure the anti-terrorist security of the Vostochny cosmodrome will take place in the near future, said Dmitry Rogozin, general director of Roscosmos.
"The anti-terrorist security system - also there (at the Vostochny cosmodrome - ed.) Unmanned robots will work. We will soon conduct tests of an unmanned robot that will ensure the security of the entire cosmodrome perimeter. This is the latest development, including with our control system."  - he told reporters.

The experimental robotic platform "Marker" is a joint project of the National Center for the Development of Technologies and Basic Elements of Robotics FPI and NPO Android Technology.  The Marker platform can be based both on a tracked chassis and on a wheeled chassis.  Armament - a machine gun and two anti-tank guided missiles.  "Marker" can work in tandem with a soldier, receiving target designation from the sight of his weapon, or be controlled remotely.

Five platforms have already been developed: two on a wheeled chassis and three tracked.  Formed scientific and technical groundwork and technologies, including those with elements of artificial intelligence, will be used to create technology for the study and development of the Moon and the planets of the solar system.  Designers are already working on the possibility of autonomous movement of both single platforms and platforms in a group.
