Russian Launch and Mission Thread

The Fedor is successfully switched on, after 10-15 min of attempts to press the switch button on the shoulder.

While Skvortsov was dressed in the possession suit to control the Fedor, Ovchinin reported that he is using a wrench to hold the button, and suggested to push it with a hammer kick.
Tech support suggested to replace batteries.
But soon Ovchinin reported that he has successfully pushed the button at the tenth-fifteenth attempt, and that the Fedor has been switched and said something.

Then the Fedor, being possessed by Skvortsov's will and magic robe, wiggled the fingers and played a little with a screwdriver, wrenches, and electric switches.
(Drill is not mentioned, but basically he can use even a fire extinguisher).

Earlier the Roscosmos representative told that the Fedor's objectives include attaching/detaching electric contacts.

As Rogozin blames weather for Vostochnyi delays, Borisov entertains the notion of raising costs and contracting additional work to the Ministry of Defence and the new unified military construction company they're busy slapping together from their numerous alphanumeric soup entities.

Also, Sfera has apparently passed review by the military and has some (minor) funding. Whereas the moon program in itself hasn't been put to paper; there's word of a new 2030 spaceflight policy document.

It's always like this, everyone's busy: except some build things - while others criticize those who build things.

A day before Rogozin had been criticized by a Vice-Prime-Minister for not so great space achievements.
So, that's his response.

The Fedor is packed back into MS-14 to return home.
Planned undocking - 6 Sep 21:13 (Moscow Time), Planned landing in Kazakhstan - 7 Sep 00:35 (MT).

It's fixed in knees, elbows, and everywhere it needs. Ovchinin guesses that the Fedor now can't run away.

On Friday the Fedor was playing with screwdrivers, wrenches, and contacts.
On Saturday they let him play with a drill and a towel.
(That famous space machete is not mentioned. As well as a chainsaw, and akimbo pistols).

P.S.
He could do akimbo pistols. Two Soyuzes are docked, so two PMs are onboard.

Oryol is a horrible choice. Tsar Aleksey Mikhailovich commissioned Dutch shipbuilders to create Russia's first dedicated tall warship with that name.

It was captured by rebels without firing a shot, beached and left to rot. I hope you can see the politically incorrect insinuations.

If newspapers quote correctly, that's after Alexei Pavlovich's ship.

«Название корабля я сегодня вам скажу — «Орел», это название первого военного парусного корабля, который еще Алексеем Павловичем Романовым был построен», — сказал Рогозин.

Rogozin has announced creation of Soyuz-6 rocket.
Based on Soyuz-5, but with RD-180, of lesser weight class.

“We will create another rocket, the Soyuz-6 medium-class rocket, which will fly on the basis of the RD-180 engine,” he said. “This is a way out of the situation when the Americans stop buying this engine for their needs, so that we will not lose a unique vehicle, a unique motor"

He wants to drown Energomash in engine orders. RD-171MV for Soyuz-5, RD-180 for Soyuz-6 and RD-191 for Angara.
