Game crashes on startup

Recommended Posts

This is the unmodded section of the support forum. Does KSP load correctly without mods installed? As @Jas0n has pointed out, you also appear to be running the 32bit version, so using realism overhaul will exceed the memory that made available. I also note that you are running an older version of the game. It is recommended to update it.

Unless I am very much mistaken, you are running the 32 bit version, which doesn't have enough memory to run RO

Not only that, it appears to be a 32bit OS with just 3G ram.

It requires memory  tweaks and good luck to run any larger mods at all.

C:\Kerbal Space Program\KSP.exe, run by Brain.
70% memory in use.
3242 MB physical memory [941 MB free].
0 MB paging file [3653 MB free].
2048 MB user address space [64 MB free].

Thanks to everyone for the help.  I updated my system and got the game running.

No. 3GB would be exactly 3072MB. I'm pretty sure the 32bit version will always report less than 4GB because it can't see more than that and some of the adressable memory will be the memory of the graphics card which is not included in the KSP.log.
