Sketchfab Embedding Problems [Resolved]

Recommended Posts

It looks like in the past there was the ability to embed sketchfab previews/3d viewers.  Probably before the big forum software migration (2015-2016).

Is this something that has a possibility of making a return?

Edit:  @ManeTI   has kindly provided us with a fix / resurrection of the feature.  See below for instructions.

Edit2:  Apparently there are some.... problems... with it.  Sounds like it is under investigation.

Edit3:  Appears to be working with the most recent tests.

Hi, I have added a button to the toolbar in order to allow sketchfab embedding, you will have to copy and paste the url id of the sketchfab you want to insert on the pop-up window that will appear after you click on the button.

This is the id you will have to paste:

sket2.PNG

The pop-up:

sket1.PNG

Excellent, many thanks for getting this feature back in place.

Will be giving it some trial runs this weekend to showcase model development; I'm sure others will love to be able to preview the new parts in full 3d :)

Testing:

Sketchfab

Shows up fine in the post-editor (and is fully functional), but does not show in the post-preview, nor does it show up in the submitted post.

@ManeTI  Any ideas / suggestions?  The model id is:  bfe608d9aecf44eb9f790b0984263fc5  ;  model is set to public, and is published.
