Yes, but certifying it for crew and developing a suitable adapter costs quite a bit of money (the former much more than the latter) which ULA doesn't want to pay themselves. Before that process starts either NASA or another company needs to decide to pay for it, with a price tag very likely between 100 millions and 1 billion in my opinion

I assume that in real life that in the event of a successful separation, the spacecraft won't LAND ON IT and then fall over and explode, which is what seems to happen about 90% of the time in KSP.
