I just made my first moon landing a couple of minutes ago, i think i may keep jeb there forever :D. Even though many kerbals sacrificed themselves to get me here, I think it was worth all the kerbals stranded orbiting the sun. It took me 7 attempts today to get to the moon, all 7 i could get into an orbit, but hit the ground to fast. How many attempts did it take you guys?

I've lost count of the number of failures. Of course, a lot of them failed for lack of proper landing legs, suitably-sized motors, or (for that matter) any understanding of what I was doing.

Anyway, they all blur together into a waking nightmare of Fail. :(

There are still cases I have failed Mun landings due to poor landing spot choices or landing too much on the dark side of the Mun. :P

For anyone out there, it is best to choose a spot where there is plenty of light or else you might end crashing while trying to land when a side of the Mun is extremely dark.

Well done on landing on the mun. I wouldn't know the difficulties of landing on another body, but I hear it involves alot of failing. Also welcome to the forums.

It took about 14 failures for me to crash on the mun, then another 2 fails till I landed safely.

It's exciting how if you overshoot the mun by an inch, you are forever doomed to orbit around the sun. :D
