I hate to make a new thread for each Chinese space business, and besides, they are not strictly speaking private in some sense, right? There are also these guys, who look to be interesting going forward:

Not flying this one. No one has any concrete idea about what LM11 is actually made of.

It's a tube with smoke coming out the bottom, lol.

Looks like a solid. Actually, given the number of Chinese launches, and their hidden nature, you might as well skip most all of them.

Four stages of solid fuel, 2m in diameter, about 700kg to LEO, based on the DF-31. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DF-31 Height of 20.8m.

Image result for long march 11

Those blue lines are likely-ish to be the stage lines... Either you can see the four, or the bottom two are one and there is a fourth one in the fairing. Yeah, comparatively we don't know much judged against other rockets, but hey, it's China...

I haven't seen any good data on attitude control for any of the stages, and different photos show different stage demarcations.

Also, I've seen statements that the fourth stage is liquid.

It's burning retrograde-ish? To not fall on populated areas perhaps?

Edit: OK this might be some other and older launch since it's night and it was launched in the middle of the day.

It seems that CZ-8 is going to be reusable!

*google translated version*

Spoiler

At the China Aerospace Conference held on April 24th, Academician Long Lehao disclosed a recyclable carrier rocket developed by China.

The recyclable launch vehicle was developed on the basis of the "Long March 8," which uses the overall vertical and reverse recovery of the child and the booster. This recovery method is similar to the US "Falcon" series carrier rockets, which can achieve the recycling of rocket components and effectively reduce costs.

After the "Changzhen No. 8" rocket adopts recycling technology, its launch quotation [cost?] will be further reduced, which will help compete for the market share of international commercial satellite launches. It is expected that as early as 2020, the “Long March 8” rocket with recovery technology will be able to make its first flight. After its service, recyclable rocket technology will no longer be monopolized by the United States.

Spoiler

China will develop a vertical take-off and reusable launch vehicle based on the Long March VIII rocket.

(That seems like a somewhat kerbal landing leg design to me... very interesting.)

Good grief.

You need to replicate Chinese launches from an inland facility, and perhaps modded to add cities for boosters to rain down on, lol.

You have time to add the mods before tomorrow, lol:
