The escort fleet dosent stand chance. the drones are to spread out to individually destroy, and for some unknown reason I equipped the speedboats with Air-to-Ground missiles intstead of Ground-to-Air. I can upload the video now, or I could rebuild my fleet with better weapons and try again? (also I agree with you about the half part count limit on planes)

Edit: I also now have PTSD

Upload the video if you want, just for fun :D

It won't count as an official victory though, until the part limits and such have been refined. We can run more battles with other people and come up with a better system

EDIT: I have updated the rules to include the half part count limit thingy on planes.

Yes, that's a good idea. I was also thinking we should draw up some rules for port defence, as you mentioned previously. There's an area close to the KSC (a bit to the north) that has some pretty cool bays and passages/islands. There's even one canal that's so shallow that even patrol boats wreck their hulls when passing by :D

EDIT: @MiffedStarfish if you want, you can rerun the scenario but as a blockade sort of battle. A single one of my missile destroyers can block the passage, and your ships can engage it in combat.

That's odd. I've mounted four Goalkeeper CIWS's on a plane, and they couldn't shoot down even a single missile. Does it have something to do with traverse speed?

Have you tried placing ammunition boxes?

It might just be that Goalkeepers are configured/optimized for stationary or slow moving craft, and when they're mounted on planes, the aiming is messed up. It could also be the orientation they're placed in. Idk

If it can fly, then no, it would not classify as a ship. But you can still use it in the battles as a plane. (planes are now allowed). Give us some pictures :)

Yeah, we could definitely hold a battle with a 300 part budget between it and a ship :D

I can strip it down to focus it more on anti-ship fighting... and also reduce part count so it won't be so laggy.

Sure. Unfortunately, I cannot host anything at the moment, due to my computer's performance and lack of time, so it would have to be you or someone else. You can check the previous posts for ships and find one to go up against :D

hey, can we revise the rules a bit, like increasing the part limit for ships to 1000 for captital ships like superdreads and carriers? 2: we need to increase part count limit for the fleet fights, i can handle up to 1600 for sure and maybe up to 2000 parts and im willing to host some fights

also on the half part rule, really :c that eliminates most of my heavy firepower because while im using very good ground-attack craft they a re high part count and 2 planes will not do anything good vs a battleship
