not if you have a laptop it has 3.93 GB of ram (unfortunately so much lag unless i have it on minimal quality and thats not fun)

yeah i do this to then i realise the craft i made to launch it is to laggy and its gonna be a pain to launch it so i choose to skip the suffering

Here's a role-play option for you...while lagginess is totally a game issue, there are a lot of design constraints that real rocket builders need to contend with, but we don't. These constraints tend to result in real world craft that have tightly focused goals and are designed to meet the mission requirements with minimal equipment. Lagginess is tied to high part counts...so think of the need to avoid lagginess as your design constraint that drives efficient craft design  :)

Just go back to the basics. that’s what I did a while ago. I just took a break from rockets and flew planes around. Then I built small rockets. Then I started to build NASA inspired stuff like an it’s or Deep Space Gateway. Then I built a shuttle, and now I’m trying interplanetary again. It’s going quite well.

it may not disable the cheats but the reason for cheating (in my case) was not packing enough fuel for interplanetary missions. When you go back to the basics you kind of re learn ksp. In fact some people just stay in the basics because that’s what they like most.

Actually the "cheat menu" helps in designing better craft. Under the Physics tab are options to enable context menu readouts for lift/drag and thermal info. The yellow/blue arrows may help a bit but seeing hard numbers is even better. There's also an option to show autostruts, which helps in debugging craft that get kraken attacks.

this is the kind of thing i wanted but for ksp https://rim-world.com/dont-tempt-me-mod/ @regex

That mod is (apparently) unnecessary now as there an option to permanently stable dev mode in Rimworld now.

I say apparently because I've never selected that option and never will, because I both find utility in dev mode and can avoid using it to cheat (and can say the same for the KSP alt f12 menu)
