Guilty Pleasure Movies

Recommended Posts

I have a few, but I can only recall a couple of them right now.  The first one I'm posting because it happens to be on TV at the moment...

The Devil Wears Prada

The other one I can think of...

13 Going on 30

*psych profile revealed* :D

No guilty needed for Flash Gordon. It's one of the few movies that I loved as a kid, and still think is great today. Dark Crystal, too.

As far as guilty pleasures, the two that come to mind are Bring It On and Legally Blonde. Both are far better than they deserve to be, and both have sequels that we're far worse than I thought they'd be.

I also really liked 13 Going On 30 but only saw it once, years and years ago.

If you add something consistent to the thread it is not necro.

True that.

Welp. Now what?

Oh wait I have one:

I laughed more than should be healthy while watching 'White Chicks,' which is admittedly quite vulgar and sexist, but....

Sighs. I recommend, despite how dumb it is :D

-snip, yeah i know its short but still-

I loved that movie, sort of. I don't know if i am allowed to mention this but i also loved The Dictator. It makes you laugh at things you aren't supposed to.

Yeah, satirical movies often walk that through that grey area of 'Not sure if offensive or just playful' :D

I have The Adventures of Ford Fairlane and Conan the Barbarian on DVD.

In the evenings, my wife often plays Jane Austen audio books. I find it most agreeable.

One of the above things would probably qualify the other as a guilty pleasure, depending on your own preferences.

Uwe Boll is not that bad.

But I really like Neil Johnson's sci-fi movies. Maybe they are not so sci, but inspiring.
And similar B-class sci-fi like Scavengers, etc.

B-class fantasy is nice too.

A-class movies are too pompous for me. I prefer their parodies.
