How do I make 3.125m parts in Blender?

OK, I'll try. Thanks!

Indeed, I regularly use 4+ decimals when specifying a mesh size.  It maintains far more accuracy than is displayed in the UI.  I would wager that from a technical perspective it is using 32-bit floating point, which should give ~7 digits of precision (total digits, not just decimal digits; e.g. 3.125 is 4-digits of precision, you could specify 3.125125 and it should still maintain accuracy, though it would only display the first couple of digits).
