Back in my day, TVs were black and white. The school TV was in a big cabinet on wheels and had shutters on the front. The teacher would wheel it out from the store room and open up the shutters then click on the knob on the front, then another knob was fiddled with till it was tuned to the strongest signal it could find. There were no remote controls.

Back in my day the 1 kopeck coin existed and you could buy a box of matches (60 pieces) or "Pionerskaya Pravda" newspaper with it.

Or a glass of soda without syrup from the drink trading machine with glassy glasses washed in mini-fountain by everyone using them.

Back in my day, a "card reader" was a device that you could plug into a computer in order to read stuff from memory cards - just like nowadays. But the memory cards were made from actual cardboard, with holes punched through...
